Over our 18-year history we have offered mentoring, commissions and development initiatives of all kinds. We use principles of equity and interculturalism to ensure support and a level playing field for ALL emerging professional artists.

2025 Actor Intensive Has Landed!

Terra Nova is excited to announce our summer Breakthrough audition intensive, funded by the Foyle Foundation. Don’t miss out on a development opportunity worth over £1000 per person!
This special initiative is offering 15 covetted places on a four-day intensive designed to refine and enhance your audition technique, and get you in front of industry casting people. This Belfast-based opportunity for Irish global majority, immigrant and white Irish indigenous emerging actors.  If selected, you will have the opportunity to 

• learn from theatre and film professionals working in Dublin, Belfast & London

• enjoy a masterclass with a top casting director working in film, TV & theatre

• showcase for leading NI professionals making 100s of casting decisions every year

• take away good quality stills and a film of your live audition for your showreel

The workshops will be warm and welcoming; they will also seek to challenge you to grow as an artist. Activities will be organised across two weekends - August 23rd and 24th, and September 13th and 14th. The industry showcase will be 6:30 - 8:00pm on the 14th.

How to apply 

To apply you must send us an email clearing stating your name, email and telephone number, and containing links to two videos:

1. a recent audition self tape that demonstrates your skill,

2. a short video explaining why you feel this is the right opportunity for you.

You must be available for both weekends. NB Everyone must complete the video submission, even existing Breakthrough steering group members. Funding is not available for travel and accommodation.
