Why Breakthrough?

Are you a professional artist struggling to gain traction and launch your career? We aim to help. Over our 18-year history we have offered mentoring, commissions and development initiatives of all kinds. We use principles of equity and interculturalism to ensure support and a level playing field for ALL emerging professional artists.

Breakthrough Steering group

Terra Nova develops Breakthrough programmes through a steering group, who are paid an hourly wage for their time consulting with us, meeting about 4 times per year. So far we have offered audition technique intensives, showcasing, training with a high profile casting director, multi-perspective R&D, Shakespeare workshops led by a black star of the Royal Shakespeare Company and more.

Support Breakthough

Like all Terra Nova initiatives, Breakthrough programmes receive no regular funding and money to make the good things happen must be raised each and every time.
