Terra Nova is looking for creatives to join the small team working on our new anti-racist theatre piece: Me You Us Them. Me You Us Them has been developed as a positive response to increasing racism and decreasing support for the arts in Northern Ireland. It is an imaginative, flexible, two-hander; based on sixth months of workshops with BME communities across Northern Ireland. Composed of a series of interlocking monologues and duologues written by our Artistic Director Andrea Montgomery, and starring the talented duo of Patrick McBrearty and Melissa Dean, it is in turn funny, fierce and heart wrenching. It is going out to spaces large and small (mostly small, and often non-theatrical) in a pilot run in March 2018.
We are seeking incidental music, a very small scale lighting design, and a bijou piece of design work to support this pilot. We are offering the kind of work that will occupy a few spare hours of an experienced practicioner or be an interesting opportunity for someone getting started in the profession. Terra Nova is Northern Ireland's professional intercultural theatre company. We welcome applications from artists with experience of a range different cultures. We have experience of working with people whose first language is not English.
