Commonwealth Austen - A Trilogy on Tour
Inspired by the importance of the British classics to commonwealth audiences across the globe, Terra Nova Productions is planning to revive three adaptations created to great acclaim by our Artistic Director Andrea Montgomery at the start of her career, sourcing the cast from across the commonwealth to create a “Festival of Austen” on tour.

...brought to life with dashing brilliance, the technical detail of the piece was stunning. Tension mounts with every look, nuance and touch until the big moment comes and you want to cheer. Whether you are an Austen fan or not, it is a must. The Hammersmith Chronicle
Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Persuasion: the morning, afternoon, and evening of Jane Austen’s career. Each work has its own distinct flavour, and each has its fans. The Jane Austen project aims to create a deeper experience of Austen by allowing audiences to choose their favourite, or to spend more time with her by attending all three.
Your production reminded me of why I wanted to market theatre in the first place. Congratulations.

Created by Stephanie Young these adaptations are fluid, flexible and funny, featuring original music integrated into the work, music that takes audiences by the hand and leads them into the world of the play. An ensemble of narrators use Austen’s language, telling her story in her own words as well as playing all of the characters in each book.
I was captivated. Time Out London
With spare, flexible sets, rich period costume created by some of the UK’s best costumiers and 18th century-inspired music, our strong ensemble of eight talented actors will bring each production to life.
